Computer
Features – Choose the best system for your needs
Choosing the right features for your computer will prevent much frustration, the need for updates, and loss of time and money. I have outlined the most important features to consider when choosing your team and made some suggestions!
Processor:
The processor is the most important determinant of system performance. The capacity of the processor determines the performance of the entire system. Other devices only allow the processor to achieve its full potential.
Processors are distinguished by their clock speed measured in GHz (gigahertz) and bandwidth is measured in bits.
They are also divided into two groups – single-core processors and dual core processors. The dual-core processors improve performance by allowing you to run graphics-intensive games or programs running simultaneously, for example, downloading of music while running a security program.
Multi media production requires the fastest available option 2. 6 GHz 1. 8-2. 2 GHz is ideal for digital media files, spreadsheets and presentation software. 1. 6-1. 9 GHz would be adequate for web browsing, email, watch movies, listen to music and organizing photos.
Memory:
The amount of random access memory (RAM) also affects your computers performance.
larger amounts of RAM allow you to run more programs simultaneously and run faster. 3-4 GB of RAM is ideal for memory intensive tasks like gaming, video editing and DVD producers. 2 GB of RAM is ideal for working with large digital media files like movies and video files, graphics files, design software, spreadsheets intensive and run multiple applications simultaneously. 1 GB is recommended for a limited amount of activity, such as word processing, email, web browsing, watching movies, listening to music and organizing photos.
Hard Disk:
This is where all data is stored – programs, drivers, digital photos, music and more. . What is your current hard disk and what is imagined to be on the hard drive in the future should be taken into account. A low to mid-sized hard drive that is ideal for documents, spreadsheets and data relating to the finances of his house would be approximately 80 to 100 GB. If you have a library of culture media or plan to install computer game a> that you should consider a maximum hard disk size. I recommend buying a hard disk space you can afford.
Wireless Network Interface:
With this feature you can access the wireless network wherever available, for example, your office, campus, school, cafeteria, etc. Even if you do not see an immediate need for this feature is highly recommended for future use.
Drive:
DVD / CD-RW combo lets you watch DVDs and burn CDs.
Super Multi 8X DVDR / RW with Double Layer support allows you to view and burn both DVDs and CDs. You can also adapt to almost double the amount of data on a DVD.
HD DVD-ROM offers high definition playback.
Below is a reference guide used by the University of Ohio in 2007 as a suggestion to the features of the personal computer at least for its students;
Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent, 2 GHz
512MB
40 GB hard drive
64 MB OpenGL – video graphics card
Network Interface Card Ethernet (NIC)
Wireless network adapter (if applicable)
I hope this information is helpful. I outlined what I feel to be the most important features to consider when choosing the team, who are the processor, memory, hard drive, wireless network interface and disk drive. Make smart decisions now and always ahead of the curve eliminate many frustrations in the future!
